A triumph for commonsense

Hooray, commonsense (and the law) has prevailed against knee-jerk idiocy:

How the hell did this guy ever get convicted in the first place for simply taking pictures in a public place, in full compliance with the privacy act (nobody has an expectation of privacy in a public place)?

The fact that he had to appeal to the high court to get his conviction quashed speaks to the idiocy that surrounds the issue of "privacy" in a public place. Every drone flier is aware that lots of people seem to think they have a right to privacy -- even when in public and many also believe that drones only exist to invade that privacy when they're out in public.

How sad that this guy had to spend so much money to simply prove himself innocent.

All part of the paranoia surrounding paedophilia Bruce. He was photographing teen girls in their swim suits. Damn, that means that all those photos I have taken over the years would get me into the doo-doo.

i hadnt seen or heard any of those in the main stream media
but any suspicion of an imaginary drone and its everywhere
i suppose its because everyone at caa knows a drone hitting a plane is going to be far worse than just a plane hitting a plane
( ,,,,,,,, ....... A E I O U use em sparingly theres probably not enough )
