bottom line
we pay around 1.55 billion us for 4 planes and some training gear

south korea gets 6 planes .. presumably with training gear for
1.8 billion us ( from the p8 article https://www.militaryfactory.com/aircraf ... aft_id=574 )

nz snivel service negotiations at their finest

there is an old saying that our snivel servants just keep reminding me of
penny wise pound foolish
or in our snivel servants case
penny stupid pound stupider

these should have been at least considered as a complimentary purchase
24 hour loiter time as opposed to 4 hours
got to be far better for sar,s and southern ocean patrols

ohh yeh and instead of moving the squadron to ohakea they would be far better to militarise Kaitaia airport and fly out from there
better range for the sar.s required for our island protectorates
our northern patrol of the eez could also be done better
and closer to any future threat

its why kaitaia was used in ww2
