Stuff censoring comments?

A very interesting observation...

I was monitoring the comments left on Stuff's website in respect to this story:

http://www.stuff.co.nz/technology/gadge ... n-pub.html

Earlier today there were some 45 comments on that story (including some of my own). Strangely enough -- mid-afternoon -- all the comments disappeared.

WTF?

Was it because of the nature of some of the comments (which were getting very interesting) -- or is it just a case of Occam's Razor and someone STUFFed-up big-time by accidentally nuking all of them?

Noticed this with Stuff before. When comments get controversial they go "Poof".

There are currently 48 comments on this article and some from Aardvark. Maybe they heard you :-)

No, all my original comments (and the other 40 or so that were there) have vanished into a black hole. These are comments made since that "disappearance". :-(
