PBTech sucks.

Yep, I said it.

They no longer deliver on the promises made by their website so I'm looking for a company that *does* do what it says in terms of stock levels and shipping times.

I now open the floor to the wisdom and experience of readers...

Computer lounge has always been good, more a gaming focus though.

Or ascent...slightly higher pricing, but always free shipping (which explains the higher pricing).

+1 for Ascent
used to use Paradigm, but their "marketing" spam just got too much for me.
The couple of times over the years that Ive had an issue with an item purchased from Ascent - actually had replacement parts OTW to me before I'd returned the faulty components.
Excellent service and knowledgeable staff (great help if you're building a mchine and want to mix and match parts).

Another +1 for Ascent.
Have been a long-term user (no other affiliation with them) with over 50 purchases (the most recent in the last 2 weeks).
Not always the very cheapest, but in the ballpark.
Have never had a bad experience with them. A couple of minor issues that were handled quickly and efficiently.

The few parts I buy these days (such a 1990s thing buying PC parts!) I get from PBTech. Got a few items from Ascent, found them good, but PBTech has been good to me.

Another +1 for Ascent. Always quick and hassle free and my standard go to.
I have used Elive a bit also and always had a good experience.

Always had brilliant service from Computer Lounge. Maybe not the lowest prices, but still very good pricing and always excellent service. Otherwise +1 for Ascent and Paradigm PC

Well it's now 2pm, the day *AFTER* my fans were supposed to have shipped and the order is still stuck at "picking".

Here are the products I ordered.. and the status is still "ships today"

https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/FANDPC ... 25mm-2x-Ba
https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/FANDPC ... nsparent-F

I wonder if it will take two weeks again before I see my order? I'll keep everyone updated.

Well there you go.. now two full business days and no sign of any movement in my order, despite everything (reportedly) being in stock.

And now PBTech have the audacity to send me an email inviting me to yet another "Sale" they're having tomorrow.

This certainly does not inspire confidence in the company and, to be totally honest, I would not be buying *anything* of any significant value from them right now because they're showing the signs (IMHO) of a company in trouble and having cashflow problems.

Let's see if I ever get my order and whether PBTech is still around in a couple of months.
