I'm dying.... well I guess we're all dying... but I feel it more right now.

Damn and blast!

Any suggested remedies, other than the usual ethanol and sucrose/fructose/dextrose/glucose combos?

I take huge doses of lypo-spheric vitamin C, e.g 4000 grams per day.

Yeah, that'll do my kidney stones a world of good :-)

I already take a garlic, horseraddish and VitC supplement every day to keep my sinuses in shape -- I thought "megadoses" (at least when taken orally) were simply flushed from your body and ended up going straight down the toilet?

Apparently, lypo-spheric vitimn C is enclosed in lypo spheres which means that most of it goes into the blood stream rather than getting passed out through the urine.
It keep's me awake all night, whereas normal vitamin C does not.

I used to get horrid chest infections after the flu, but I don't now.

Hmm... I'm always a little skeptical about claims like that. I mean, if it's in the blodstream then the kidneys are going to filter it out and you're going to excrete it. All I can think of is that it is absorbed fast enough that a much higher serum level is achieved than when taking regular ascorbic acid in the form of sodium ascorbate.

Single malt whisky, not too much though, I can't say it will cure but it is thought that counts. It justifies keeping a few bottles with the good lady 'er indoors (I start getting a cold quite often ;) )

And what was that about getting married ?

Yeah, after 38 years of probationary cohabitation we've decided to tie the knot. We're just impulsive like that!

And today I feel even worse. I have aches in places I didn't even know existed until now :-(

That must be some kind of record - 38 years - I have heard it can be hard to find the right moment to pop the question :D . Congratulations.
