How stupid are people? (25 May, 2021)

The desire to believe the impossible obviously exceeds the ability to understand science, physics and the obvious -- in some people's minds.

Seriously, if the Pentagon and US military can't explain these clearly explainable "phenomena", should we be worried about their competence to operate some of the most sophisticated weapons of death in the modern world?

Why is it that so many people would rather believe the least likely rather than the most likely?

And even if there are other civilizations and intelligent life out there, will we ever meet them or has nature taken care of that by providing very effective quaranteening to protect us all from each other?

Question is: what from?

Perhaps certain government agencies are preparing the ground to ask for extra funding -- in the name of "safety and security (from alien attack)" :-)

Best response video so far to the 'pyramids': it's just the Bokeh effect: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-r2oaQWmqkk

People want what we want. Cheap, comforting, calorie-dense entertainment that we don't have to chew much. If it includes some kind of 'higher power' myth, so much the better. Aliens, Deep State conspiracies, 5G-1080-vacc-2A-hysteria; all swallowed whole with a double-down burger and a Coke yum yum yum.

On the very few occasions I buy take-aways I always ask:

"Do you still have the FPV drone flier's discount"?

That confuses them :-)

To prove a point, an acquaintance of mine went in to whatever hash foundry it was and said:

"I have just $10-00 on me. What can I get for that?"

Let's say the answer was, "a five piece pack for $9-95."

"I'll take it," said he.

"You want fries with that?"

"Yes, five cents worth."
