Unfortunately the usually recognised altitude where space officially begins is 100km and his flight reached 88km. So I am not sure why most articles are uncritically saying he went to space.

They were making a big deal of weightlessness on the TV footage, somehow implying they were in orbit, but I'm more inclined to believe the pilot was flying a series of parabolas the way they do/did it for astronaut training. Don't believe everything you see on TV.

Yes, you are only weightless in orbit because you are falling at the same rate the earth is curving away from you as you circle it.

You can be weightless in a "vomit comet" well within the confines of the earth's atmosphere.

Space is really big... so I think you need to go a lot further out than Branson did if you want to experience *real* space :-)

It was a sub-orbital trajectory so yes the weightlessness was due to doing just one big parabola. The top point of which was at 88KM. Then they had 4 minutes of freefall from there to experience weightlessness. Sure it was a good achievement in terms of his own rocket program, but hardly ground breaking in the big picture. It was very obviously put together very quickly to try to be in front of Bezos in riding his own rocket.

Many people are realising consequences of Covid

So your pause for the day is normal and natural

It’s you weeding off oil and coal

But if you look to thorium fission
Well that requires national governments

So stand for mayor Bruce
Set the agenda perhaps

Or encourage a current Councilor to stand
Hook a battery trailer on the truck
An electric diff on the trailer to push you along
Charge it up is just a plug in
That is worth a note buddy
Kind regards
Many happy returns

bruce wrote "space is realy big"
initially this statment was a massive understaintment
but how do you define big
big as in the universe
then realy is truely
but i
really big as in billionaire
then really untaxed progressively
