Semi-auto guns have been banned and as a result -- violence involving firearms is up.

WTF?

How stupid are our lawmakers?

How stupid are we for believing the premise on which many of the ongoing restrictions placed on our freedoms and rights are based?

Is this good enough?

And it looks like I was spot on in regards to Google's end-game with drones -- but nobody (in government) seems to be listening -- or do they simply choose not to listen (reason: $$$)?

It's worse with the present crop of socio-commies in the drone house.
How anyone can imagine that adding costs to a business won't change the quality or the prices of products / services from that business is beyond me.

People do seem to be that stupid.

Same every time.

We might be able to draw some conclusions if we also had a 'control' New Zealand, that was still awash with AR15s. All I can see is that by continuing to treat drugs as a 'justice' problem rather than a 'health' problem, we have an armed conflict problem. As long as we continue to offer gangs as youngsters' only social safety net, we'll have gangs. If people can't find something to live for, someone will happily give them something to die for.

One thing's for sure - the Police will be milking this until they're all toting Bushmasters 24/7, patrolling South Auckland in their LAVs. I see escalating gun violence as a symptom. As with most symptoms, you're better off treating the cause. Of course, it's going to get worse before the end. The day may come when we are actually glad to have a(nother) group of organised, heavily armed people protecting our communities. Meanwhile, our Daily Dose seems to be an increasingly-red pill

How easy it seems to be to be led astray from the point.
I.e. Bad laws fix nothing and alienate 'ordinary' people.

pretty sure no one has been advocating for automatic granting of concealed carry permits ( legal in most us states )
or
" stand your ground " type legislation ( legal in most us states )
or
uncontrolled purchase of pre 1986 automatic weapons ( legal in most us states )
or
uncontrolled purchase of pistols and handguns ( legal in most us states )

When the 51 number of suicide by cop ticks over
Matching the numbers Christchurch
Then totally reverse the law
One vote against the bill was ACT
After the election winston left
Act got 9 MPs
Next election 90
And the reverse of the gun bill

If each gun owner was given $100,000
To buy up illegal guns and lock in there safe
Then these street incidents of suicide by cop
Will be instead with MacDonald drinking straws
And the public would be safe
And the same money spent

If 90MPs for Act then do the Swiss modle
Every hime has a gun and every person
Who lives in those home does compulsory military service
But like Switzerland New Zealand must become neutral.

So 90 MPs of 120 leave 30 MPs for labour, National, greens and maori party

Or will winston get back 15% and buddy with ACT 36%
