The world somehow got over it.
The sciences of immunology and vaccination were at what stage, in that era?
Did it start in a lab, in Pamplona? Those dastardly Basque Separatists to blame?

My understanding is that "Spanish" flu actually started in the USA and was taken to Europe by US servicemen. Spain was neutral in WW1 so they were a convenient scapegoat for the virus.

Please see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_f ... al_origins for details.

Oh? No changes since then in sanitation, personal hygiene, nutritional standards, housing, etc., so things should be much the same?

It is interesting that in Israel, a country with high levels of vaccination using the Pfizer vaccine, a third wave created by the delta-variantis now well under way with infection rates rising from 6 per day a month or two ago to 6,000 a day this week.

Perhaps the vaccine's ability to provide protection against delta is waning or has been overstated?

nope
now we have vaccinations and the intelligence to quarantine people and areas so they don't spread

some even think those are good ideas
others seem to want to go back to where we were at those times ( no vaccs no quarantine areas )

A politician wouldn't like to us about something this important would they? The question was asked if going exclusive with Pfizer was a bad idea & the PM assured us it is effective against the delta variant.
