Just how much military weaponry is now orbiting over our heads do you think?

Is it a certainty that we already have a significant number of nuclear warheads passing overhead on a daily basis, as superpowers jostle for the ability to boost their first-strike capabilities and thwart their enemy's defensive capabilities?

Is the reason that the USA, China and Russia have all tested "anti-satellite" missiles a clear indication that they are aware that their enemies already have orbiting nukes that would be a threat in the event of any armed conflict?

Just where are we headed?

I've often wondered about the safety of the entire process of launching such things.

A component failure could be worse than spectacular, depending upon where along the launch process it occurred.

Once the Kessler Effect kicks in, we'll have some very sparkly evenings, for a few centuries. Elon's Starship will need a sturdy bumper on the front. Meanwhile China is testing hypersonic weapons-delivery systems that will evade existing missile defences. And the whole cycle of mutually-assured destruction has to kick off again until a new equilibrium is found.
