Double standards

Postby aardvark_admin » Sat Oct 12, 2019 5:09 pm

I see that in the UK, the government won't release Julian Assange from prison (even though he now qualifies for release) because they consider him a flight risk and he's awaiting extradition proceedings by the USA.

Howver, a US government still refuses to extradite a US citizen who killed a UK youth (by way of vehicular manslaughter).

Surely, if the USA won't extradite someone to face justice in the UK then why the hell are the UK keeping Assange in prison because they *think* he might abscond before the yanks get their fingers out of their arse and complete their extradition request?

Crazy world. When such bold and open double standards exist and are demonstrated without shame.
